The Installation Tips page contains all necessary information on installing our transformers. Select the relevant transformer and download the manual for more information. We emphasize that all HUB transformers must always be mounted in a covered space that is not exposed to rain or snowfall. If this is not possible, use a (SMART) HUB PROTECTOR. Following all instructions correctly will contribute to an even longer service life of the products that come with a five-year warranty.
The HUB-50 and HUB-100 are equipped with touch operation for setting the timer. The SMART HUB-150 timer can only be set using the in-lite app (available for iOS and Android). See the transformer manual for more information.
The HUB-50 and HUB-100 transformers are equipped with a mini-connector for the light sensor. Install the light sensor outdoors where there is direct sunlight, but do not let it be influenced by unnatural light sources in order to guarantee proper functioning. The SMART HUB-150 is equipped with an astronomical clock and switches the lighting on automatically once the sun goes down. See the transformer manual for more information.
Yes, the light sensor can be replaced. The light sensor is available from our dealers. You can also watch this video.
Yes, the light sensor cable can be extended using special extension cords that are available in sizes of 1, 2 and 3 meters. We recommend extending no more than 4 meters using as few extension cords as possible.
The standard length of the light sensor cable is 1 meter and, if needed, special extension cords are available in sizes of 1, 2 and 3 meters. We recommend extending no more than 4 meters using as few extension cords as possible. You can also watch this video.
The maximum capacity of the HUB-50 is 50 VA. The HUB-100 can handle up to 100 VA, while the SMART HUB-150 can be used for a maximum of 150 VA in lighting. You can determine the appropriate (number of) transformers by adding up all the VA values of the lighting in the yard. The VA value of each fixture can be found on the packaging and in the installation manual for that fixture. Read more about this in our blog.
The output of the transformer is indicated in VA instead of watts (W) because this corresponds to the VA indication of our lighting. See the transformer manual for more information.
We emphasize that all HUB transformers must always be mounted in a covered space that is not exposed to rain or snowfall and at a minimum height of 50 cm above the ground. If this is not possible, use a (SMART) HUB PROTECTOR. Following all instructions correctly will contribute to an even longer service life of the products that come with a five-year warranty.
It is only necessary in exceptional cases to reset the transformer. To reset the HUB-50/100, it must be switched off completely. If this does not solve the problem, remove the plug from the outlet and plug it in again after around 10 seconds. This type of transformer does not have a separate reset button. You reset the SMART HUB-150 by holding in the button on the right side (for at least 15 seconds) until the button starts flashing blue.
The HUB-50/100 remembers the last settings used, even when not receiving power. If you reconnect the transformer to the power supply, it will go back to the last setting that was used, such as four hours from dusk to dawn.
The indicator light on the transformer will flash rapidly if an overload or short circuit is detected. The cause of the overload or short circuit must be resolved. The transformer can then be restarted by touching the “on” button on the touchscreen.
The indicator light on the transformer will flash slowly if there is a risk of an overload occurring. The cause of this overload must be resolved. The transformer will then be active again immediately.
in-lite transformers can be combined. The SPLITTER can be used to connect one light sensor to multiple transformers and all lights will then switch on at the same time. Note: It is not possible to connect a single light sensor if you want to use the HUB transformer together with a CB transformer. The SMART HUB-150 transformers do not have a light sensor, but use an astronomical clock. If you want to use both the SMART HUB-150 and a HUB-50/100 transformer in your yard, you will need to operate the HUB-50/100 using the touch panel on the transformer.
You can load the Hub-50 with a maximum of 50 VA in total. The distribution over the two cables does not have to be proportional. The Hub-100 can be loaded with a maximum of 100 VA in total. The distribution over the two cables does not have to be proportional. The Smart Hub-150 can be loaded with a total maximum of 150 VA. The distribution over the three cables does not have to be proportional. Please note that you can connect a maximum of 100VA to 1 cable. You can then connect a further 50 VA to the other two cables.
It is not necessary to evenly distribute the capacity of the lighting. Limit the capacity to no more than 100 VA per cable outlet.

This depends on the total installation value (VA) of the fixtures in your lighting plan. The transformer must have sufficient output for controlling the lighting. For more information, see our blog on the transformer.
First see the page on the in-lite 12 volt system. We then recommend watching the videos on the Installation Tips page. You should also read through the manuals and installation advice for our products for specific installation instructions.
No, this is not possible. LED electronics in particular are susceptible to failures or fluctuations in the system. We wish to point out the fact that, if you use components in the in-lite system that are not from in-lite, the warranty no longer applies. In this case, we are unable to guarantee the quality of our products.
