There are water droplets in my outdoor light. Is that a problem?

Since outdoor lights are in the yard all year round, condensation can occasionally form on the inside of the fixtures. This is a natural process and occurs when the humidity level and temperature in the light differ from the air outside the light. In other words, it has nothing to do with the permeability of the fixture. In-lite outdoor lights are designed so that the light source and electronics are fully protected from moisture. Differences in construction can mean that some fixtures will form more condensation than others. But this is not a problem. When the weather conditions change, the condensation will disappear on its own.

What are the advantages of 12 volt outdoor lighting?

You can easily install outdoor lighting based on a 12 volt low voltage system yourself and it is completely safe. More information is available on the 12 volt outdoor lighting page.

What are the advantages of LED outdoor lighting?

What can outdoor lighting be used for?

What is covered by the warranty?

We provide a five year warranty on fixtures, transformers, cables, Easy-locks, cable connectors (CC-2) and the mini-connector, if all are installed according to the instructions in the manual. We do not provide a warranty on removable LED, halogen and incandescent bulbs. Using components in the system that are not from in-lite will void the warranty. No rights can be derived from the stated burning hours of (LED) light sources. If a replacement product is offered, the warranty is only valid for the remainder of the original warranty period. Caution! During installation, make sure all components including fixtures, transformers, Easy-Locks, cable connectors (CC-2) and the mini-connector are accessible if replacement is required. What is the difference between in-lite LED outdoor lighting and other brands?

What kind of maintenance do in-lite fixtures require?

Like the rest of your yard, in-lite outdoor lighting also requires some maintenance. You can read our advice on the maintenance tips page.

What should I do if a single outdoor fixture does not switch on?

Check that the fixture is correctly connected to the low-voltage cable. Refer to the Installation Tips page, product installation recommendations and the product manual to learn how. Test the Easy-Lock by replacing it with another (functioning) fixture. Check the light source of fixtures with an incandescent or halogen bulb by replacing the bulb. Still no luck? Then contact the gardener or dealer where the product was purchased. They can also provide a replacement Easy-Lock.

What should I do if my outdoor lighting stays on longer than I have set the transformer for?

Be sure to mount the light sensor for the transformer in a location where it will not be affected by artificial light, such as car headlights or street lights. Also visit our Installation Tips page.

What should I do if my outdoor lighting fails to switch on no matter which transformer program I use?

Make sure the transformer is installed correctly. Refer to the Installation Tips page and the manual. If it is installed correctly, check for a possible power failure by checking the red reset button on the bottom of the transformer. It should be pushed in. If the button is not pushed in, the transformer probably experienced an overload. Press the red button to reset the transformer. Still not working? Then please contact one of our dealers.

What should I do if my outdoor lighting does not come on when it is dark outside?

Check the following points:

  • Is the light sensor mounted correctly? See the video on installing the transformer & light sensor.
  • Is the button on the transformer set to DUSK TO DAWN (D/D) or to the timer (number of hours)?
  • Is the light sensor affected by artificial light? This is easy to check by covering the light sensor with a dark cloth. The lights should turn on after a few seconds. If the lights turn on, move the light sensor to a location away from the artificial lighting.
  • Has the cable for the light sensor been extended? Make sure this has been done correctly. See the video on extending the light sensor cable.

If the lights do not turn on after checking the above points, then the light sensor is probably defective. Separate light sensors are available from our dealers. If the dealer does not have it in stock, they can order it from us.
