Smart Hub
How do I install the transformer?
The SMART HUB-150 installation page provides installation instructions for the transformer. Also see the manual for the specific transformer. Protect your transformer by installing it in a spot that is not exposed to the elements (rain, snow, etc.).
How do I set the timer on the transformer?
You can set time routines in the in-lite app, as you would with a timer. See the manual for the in-lite app and the SMART HUB-150 installation page.
Is there a light sensor on the transformer?
The SMART HUB-150 is not equipped with a light sensor, but an astronomical clock. This clock uses the location to determine the time of sunset and sunrise.
How do I attach the cable to the transformer?
The in-lite cable can be easily connected to the SMART HUB-150. Strip a few cm from one end of the cable and place two cable ends next to each other. Strip around 8 mm from both cable ends using a cable stripper. Next, twist together the copper wires so that there are no loose wires. Click the Easy-Connect clip for the cable entry open and place one cable end in the entry. Secure the cable by pushing down the Easy-Connect clip and pull slightly on the cable to check whether it is securely in place. Do the same with the other cable end. If desired, you can connect one extra cable to the transformer. Both cables will be controlled jointly by the transformer. See the manual for detailed instructions.  Important: Did you buy an in-lite cable with cable lugs and want to connect the cable to the HUB-50 or HUB-100? Cut off the cable lugs entirely and strip the cable as described above or see the manual for the transformer.
Can two cables fit in one connection?
The SMART HUB-150 has three outlets that can be used for one cable each. This lets you create three zones, such as the driveway, front yard and backyard.
How many VA is the transformer?
The SMART HUB-150 has a total maximum output of 150 VA.
How many watts is the transformer?
The output of the transformer is indicated in VA instead of watts because this corresponds to the VA indication of our lighting.
What is the energy consumption of the transformer?
The SMART HUB-150 uses around 3 W when switched off. Note: If the lighting is switched on for three hours a day, the transformer will be in idle status for 21 hours a day. This corresponds to 23 kW per year. With an energy price of €0.25/kWh, the total annual energy cost will be €5.75.
How many lights can be connected to the transformer?
The number of lights depends on the total installation value (VA) of the lighting you wish to connect. You can connect up to 150 VA. More information can be found on the SMART HUB-150 installation page. Important: The BIG NERO (NARROW) is an exception, as a maximum of 11 BIG NERO (NARROW) lights can be connected to a SMART HUB-150, divided over two or three lines (cables) and with a maximum of seven lights per line. The BIG NERO (NARROW) can only be connected to a 10/2 cable with a maximum length of 40 meters.
Can I also install the transformer outdoors?
All transformers can be installed outdoors. However, there a number of matters to keep in mind during installation. See the SMART HUB-150 installation page and manual for more information. Note: Protect your transformer by installing it in a spot that is not exposed to the elements (rain, snow, etc.).

Are in-lite outdoor fixtures waterproof?
All in-lite fixtures are suitable for outdoor use. Fixtures with LED light sources are waterproof (also refer to the IP values for our products), but are not designed to remain under water permanently. Use our underwater spotlight for this instead.
Can all of the in-lite transformers and cables be combined together?
Yes, with the exception of our mini transformer. We do, however, recommend that you use only one type of cable in your yard, even if you want to install several transformers (and therefore make several cable plans for a single yard). This will prevent mistakes that may lead to less than adequate functioning of the system.
Can I add fixtures to in-lite lighting that I already have?
Yes, you can. You can add fixtures to an existing cable plan or expand your cable plan. However, make sure you consider the maximum load of the transformer and the cable. For more information, visit the installation tips page.
Can I connect a dimmer to an in-lite fixture?
You can only connect a dimmer if this possibility is stated explicitly in the specifications for the outdoor light. Click here to view all dimmable lights in our product range.
Can I connect in-lite outdoor lighting to a 220 volt cable or main power supply?
Only if the in-lite fixture expressly indicates that it can be connected to 220 or 230 volts. Refer to the installation recommendations for the product in our product list or the manual.
Can I install your lighting systems in paving or wooden structures?
Yes, part of our range of ground lights can be installed in paving and/or wood. Read the installation recommendations for the specific ground lights and the manual for the best way to do this.
Can I use my own transformer or 12 volt cable?
No, that is not possible. The LED electronics in particular are sensitive to interference or fluctuations in the system. We remind you that when your lighting is connected to a system that includes products that are not from in-lite, this will void the warranty. We can no longer guarantee the quality of our products in such cases.
Can you drive over the in-lite ground lights?
Several of our fixtures can be integrated into, for example, a driveway. Discover the range of drive-over ground lights in our product list.
Do I have to make a lighting plan first?
You don't have to, but it is wise. A lighting plan ensures there is light in the right places. It also makes it easier to choose the fixture type and you can quickly and easily calculate the technical components that are required. Good preparation is half the job! Read our blog about how to create a lighting plan.

Help
What should I do if a single outdoor fixture does not switch on?
Check that the fixture is correctly connected to the low-voltage cable. Refer to the Installation Tips page, product installation recommendations and the product manual to learn how. Test the Easy-Lock by replacing it with another (functioning) fixture. Check the light source of fixtures with an incandescent or halogen bulb by replacing the bulb. Still no luck? Then contact the gardener or dealer where the product was purchased. They can also provide a replacement Easy-Lock.
What should I do if my outdoor lighting fails to switch on no matter which transformer program I use?
Make sure the transformer is installed correctly. Refer to the Installation Tips page and the manual. If it is installed correctly, check for a possible power failure by checking the red reset button on the bottom of the transformer. It should be pushed in. If the button is not pushed in, the transformer probably experienced an overload. Press the red button to reset the transformer. Still not working? Then please contact one of our dealers.
What should I do if my outdoor lighting does not come on when it is dark outside?
Check the following points: • Is the light sensor mounted correctly? See the video on installing the transformer & light sensor. • Is the button on the transformer set to DUSK TO DAWN (D/D) or to the timer (number of hours)? • Is the light sensor affected by artificial light? This is easy to check by covering the light sensor with a dark cloth. The lights should turn on after a few seconds. If the lights turn on, move the light sensor to a location away from the artificial lighting. • Has the cable for the light sensor been extended? Make sure this has been done correctly. See the video on extending the light sensor cable. If the lights do not turn on after checking the above points, then the light sensor is probably defective. Separate light sensors are available from our dealers. If the dealer does not have it in stock, they can order it from us.
What should I do if my outdoor lighting stays on longer than I have set the transformer for?
Be sure to mount the light sensor for the transformer in a location where it will not be affected by artificial light, such as car headlights or street lights. Also visit our Installation Tips page.
Which fixtures should I choose?
We can imagine that you might want a little help choosing the right lighting for your yard. Our Product Advisor shows you which fixtures are the most suitable for each yard element and how to incorporate them into your lighting plan.
How can I file a claim against the warranty?

I accidentally punctured the cable. What should I do?
The main cable or a branch has been punctured If the main cable or a branch has been punctured, it is advisable to cut the cable completely. Depending on the situation, you can either reconnect the two cable ends using a cable connector (CC-2) or place an extra piece of cable using two cable connectors. This video shows you how. Remember to always check the total output after a cable break. After installing one cable connector, a maximum of 50 watts of fixtures can be attached. If you have connected more than 50 watts of fixtures, use an extra cable connector. When using two cable connectors, the maximum limit is 100 watts of lighting. Add cable caps to the ends for a tidy finish. The extension cord has been punctured If the extension cord has been punctured, it can be easily replaced with a new extension cord. The extension cord is available in several lengths and can be found in the System category (CBL EXT CRD). The fixture cable has been punctured If the cable attached to the fixture has been punctured, contact our Customer Service Department for advice.
I think the Easy-Lock for my outdoor lighting is defective, what should I do?
First, make sure the lighting is connected correctly. Visit the Installation Tips page for more information. Test the Easy-Lock by replacing it with another (functioning) fixture. Also check fixtures with an incandescent or halogen bulb by replacing the bulb. Still no luck? Then contact the gardener or dealer where the product was purchased. They can also provide a replacement Easy-Lock.
I think the light sensor for my transformer is defective. Is it available separately?
Yes, these are available separately from our dealers. To be sure that the light sensor is defective, check the following: Is the light sensor mounted correctly? See the video on installing the transformer & light sensor. Is the button on the transformer set to DUSK TO DAWN (D/D) or to the timer (number of hours)? Is the light sensor affected by artificial light? This is easy to check by covering the light sensor with a dark cloth. The lights should turn on after a few seconds. If the lights turn on, move the light sensor to a location away from the artificial lighting. Has the cable for the light sensor been extended? Make sure this has been done correctly. See the video on extending the light sensor cable. If the lights do not turn on after checking the above points, then the light sensor is probably defective. Separate light sensors are available from our dealers. If the dealer does not have it in stock, they can order it from us.
My lighting is blinking. How can I fix this?
There are several possible reasons why your lighting is blinking, either in full or in part. A single light is blinking If a single light is blinking, there is a probably a problem with the cable connection (Easy-Lock). Unscrew the Easy-Look, clean it thoroughly and reattach the connector to the cable. This video shows you how. If this does not solve the problem, replace the Easy-Lock. You can request an Easy-Lock free of charge from our Customer Service Department or obtain one from an in-lite dealer. All lights are blinking If all connected lights are blinking, the transformer is most probably not receiving enough power. Plug the transformer into a different outlet (not in the same block) and see if this solves the problem. If this does not help, unplug the transformer from the power outlet and check whether the cable is connected to the transformer correctly. Check whether the cable lugs are secure under the screws. Lighting from a branch is blinking If the lighting from a branch in the cable is blinking, the problem is most likely the cable connector (CC-2) that connects the branch to the main cable. Remove the CC-2, clean it thoroughly and reattach the cable connector to the cable. This video shows you how. If this does not solve the problem, replace the CC-2 with a new cable connector. You can purchase the CC-2 from your in-lite dealer. Need advice or still have a problem? Contact your in-lite dealer or our Customer Service Department.
