in-lite Design B.V. is a young Dutch company that designs, produces and sells trend-setting LED outdoor lighting. We only sell and deliver to companies (B2B). Our products are for sale via a select network of distributors, dealers and landscaping professionals in various countries throughout Europe and North America.
We consider it important to ensure maximum protection for the privacy of visitors to our website. We therefore place the same demands on ourselves and our collaborative partners regarding the protection of personal data.
This privacy policy is intended for our website visitors and customers who have registered on the website for our newsletter, brochure or guarantee for a product supplied through one of our points of sale.
In what follows we explain which personal data we process, what we do with that personal data, and what you can do if you have any other questions. We advise you to read this privacy policy carefully before visiting our website (www.in-lite.nl) or using our services.

This Privacy Policy concerns the Processing of Personal Data via our Website. in-lite is the Controller for this Processing.
2.2 This Privacy Policy also applies to registrations for a brochure or lighting advice via sites of third parties. in-lite is the Controller for this Processing.
2.3 in-lite’s Website contains links to websites of third parties, such as hyperlinks, banners and buttons. in-lite is not liable for these third parties’ compliance with privacy legislation.
3.1 in-lite Processes the following Personal Data of Website Visitors and Customers.

3.3 This Personal Data will be collected when a Customer registers on our Website or requests our brochure, lighting advice or newsletter via our Website or the website of a third party, or when a Customer registers for a guarantee for a product that has been supplied or requests contact. All Website forms are linked to our CRM system (Perfect View) and/or email marketing system (Mailplus).
3.4 in-lite Processes Personal Data in accordance with the Applicable Privacy Legislation.
3.5 in-lite Processes your Personal Data solely as set out in this Privacy Policy.
4.1 in-lite collects and Processes your Personal Data solely for the purposes specified below:
a. Issuing a guarantee: if a Customer has registered on our Website for a guarantee for a product supplied by one of our points of sale, we will Process his or her Personal Data in order to fulfil the agreed guarantee. We only Process the Personal Data that is strictly necessary for the implementation of such legal guarantees and for the purposes of our own legitimate interests, specifically our business operations. These are the bases referred to in Article 6(1)(b)and (f) of the GDPR.
b. Communication and information: We use Personal Data to communicate with Customers (which includes chatting) about brochures, wish lists or newsletters they have requested, complaints they have submitted, and matters regarding product guarantees. This Personal Data Processing is necessary in order to perform the agreement and for the purposes of our legitimate interests, specifically our business operations (the bases referred to in Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR).
c. Marketing purposes: We use Customers’ Personal Data in order to send Customers newsletters and/or special offers from in-lite, its affiliates or carefully selected third parties if Customers have registered for or requested them. We only contact Customers by email in order to alert them to special offers if they have given their prior consent for this, unless the products concerned are similar to ones they have ordered from any of the dealers. You always have the option of unsubscribing from newsletters, emails about special offers etc. This Personal Data Processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and (f) (our legitimate interests, i.e. marketing activities) of the GDPR.
d. Customer service: If a Customer uses our customer service, we will Process his or her Personal Data to enable us to provide our service. This Processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests (bases: Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR).
e. Job application: If you apply for a job with us via our Website, we will Process your Personal Data in order to deal with your application. This Processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests, specifically to attract new employees (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
4.2 in-lite will notify you in good time if it intends to use your Personal Data for compatible purposes other than those described above.
5.1 in-lite discloses Personal Data to third parties solely to the extent necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
5.2 in-lite may only transfer Personal Data to the following third parties for the purposes described:
• wish lists to recipients specified by the Customer
• lighting plan advice as requested by the Customer
• service providers (see Article 6)
• Google Analytics (see Article 8)
• Hotjar (see Article 8)
6.1 in-lite takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Data against misuse, loss or unlawful Processing.
6.2 in-lite retains your Personal Data on Secure Servers in Europe.
7.1 Unless a statutory retention period applies, in-lite does not retain Personal Data of Website Visitors and Customers for any longer than is required for the purposes for which it is being Processed.
7.2 A longer retention period can sometimes apply due a claim/legal proceedings, or on the basis of a statutory regulation.
7.3 You can ask in-lite to delete your Personal Data sooner. We will comply with your request if retaining your Personal Data is no longer necessary for Processing purposes and there are no other reasons that necessitate retention (such as statutory retention periods, claims or legal proceedings).
8.1 in-lite uses cookies to guarantee the proper functioning of our Website. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer. in-lite uses the following cookies:
a. functional cookies: these cookies are needed to ensure that the Website works properly, e.g. cookies needed to create an account. These cookies are also used to send visitors to the right website based on the country of their IP address;
b. analytics cookies: these cookies are needed to help the Website analyse how visitors use it so that in-lite can improve it, thus bringing it more into line with the interests and preferences of visitors. These Personal Data are anonymised. in-lite uses Google Analytics and has configured this privacy in a friendly way.
c. tracking cookies: these cookies are used to track your online behaviour for direct marketing purposes.
d. Hotjar cookies: in-lite uses Hotjar cookies. These are used to track visitors anonymously on the website in order to improve the functioning of the website and the user experience. Personal data is not visible and is not saved. Hotjar cookies expire automatically after 365 days.
8.2 We use a pop-up on our Website in order to request your prior consent for the use of tracking cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
8.3 You can set your browser to refuse cookies. Please note that some functions and services of our Website(s) may not work properly if you refuse cookies.
9.1 in-lite uses plug-ins to connect to various social media platforms. Website Visitor can add “likes” and share them with others by logging on to these accounts. in-lite does not have access to such accounts and/or the Personal Data related to these accounts.
10.1 In general you are not obliged to disclose Personal Data to us. However, we will not be able to provide you with access to our Website and/or our services/products if you do not disclose certain Personal Data. The Personal Data required for this is listed in Article 3.
11.1 You can at any time request that in-lite allow you to access, alter, add to, delete or restrict/ring-fence your Personal Data. If the Processing is based on consent, you always have the right to withdraw such consent.
11.2 You can ask in-lite to send the Personal Data you have provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format so that you can transmit such data to another service provider. This only applies if the Processing is automated and is based on consent or the performance of an agreement.
11.3 You have the right at all times to submit an objection to the Processing of your Personal Data based on our legitimate interests due to specific reasons linked to your situation. We will always comply with any objection from you that concerns Processing for marketing purposes. We will always comply with your objection to Processing for other purposes unless such Processing is necessary due to legal proceedings, or if there are compelling legitimate reasons for the Processing that prevail over your interests, rights and freedoms.

11.5 in-lite will inform you of its response to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within one month after it receives it. If your request is of a complex nature, in-lite may inform you within one month of receiving it that the period for responding to it is to be extended by two months.
11.6 in-lite may refuse your request or charge a reasonable fee if your request is manifestly unfounded or is excessive due to over-repetition.
