The Industrial garden

The industrial garden is characterized by robust materials, large objects and factory-like elements. Just add an XXL barbecue, a few bottles of beer on your self-built bar and fire up that rusty stove: the industrial garden is the perfect place to live.
Fascination for technology
The industrial style is "honest" and unapologetic, with a fascination for technology. This technology is not hidden away - as in many other living styles - but rather emphasized. Bolts, hinges and nuts: they can all be seen. The furniture is solid, often with extra-wide handrails and rectangular shapes. In an industrial garden you often see large, dilapidated dining tables, often with a raw wood tabletop and steel base. The table legs often can't be thick enough.

Material: factory elements
Want an industrial garden? Then work with furniture that consists of large surfaces and materials that reference an industrial space such as a factory or construction site. For example, concrete outdoor tiles are cut out for the industrial garden, as is a concrete built-in bench or brick wall. Corten steel and stainless steel also go well with the industrial style. See, for example, Corten stainless steel chair legs and lamps. Metal planters and borders also do well in the industrial garden.
Industrial colors
The industrial garden calls for shades of black, copper and rust and gray. With the right lighting, your outdoor space will have the warmth it deserves. Because an industrial garden often consists of large objects, ideally you work here with lamps that can shine up to five meters. That way, you won't be looking at large dark surfaces at night. The fixtures do not have to be subtly hidden in the industrial style, in fact, they add to the atmosphere! Therefore, choose lighting elements in a striking, industrial color such as Corten (cognac), gray or black.
