Functional facade lighting at the front door

This way you can easily find the keyhole and you will be inside quickly during that heavy cloudburst. The parcel deliverer is also happy with functional facade lighting outside, because it makes house numbers and nameplates easy to read from a distance. With decorative facade lighting, you think of highlighting an element or object. Do you have beautiful climbing hydrangeas that adorn your facade? It makes sense that you want to highlight this. This also applies to a tree that stands against the facade or a border on the edge. Do you have a characteristic house with beautiful, old elements? Then choose to illuminate the entire facade and turn your house into an eye-catcher.

Whether you are looking for decorative facade lighting with ground spots or you need functional lighting with a wall lamp, facade lighting is multifunctional. With which type of facade lighting do you ensure that your house becomes the eye-catcher of the street?

How high do you place facade lighting?

What is the best height to place your facade lighting? Actually, there are no guidelines for this. You determine the height of a wall lamp yourself. This has everything to do with your personal preference and thereby; not every facade is the same. Would you like to maintain a benchmark? Then go for about 1.70 meters high from the ground. Then you're always in the right place! You probably think this is on the low side, but that's on purpose. In this way, the wall lamp hangs at eye level and that prevents you from looking straight into the lamp. How nice!

in-lite wall lights outside 12 or 230 volt?

To begin with, it is important – and good to know – that almost all in-lite garden lighting is based on low voltage. This makes it safe and easy to connect. That does mean (Tip!) that if you already have existing wall lights hanging outside, you have to pay close attention to whether it concerns 12 or 230 volt lighting. Current wall lights are often still connected to 230 volt mains voltage. That is not a problem, but make a choice in this so that you better coordinate all outdoor lighting.

Lighting connected to 230 volts is often dimmable and easy to switch on and off with a switch. Existing facade lighting has often already been installed during the construction or renovation of the house. This means that the cables are not visible and that is just a little nicer than laying a new cable, which can no longer be concealed in the facade of the house. Are you switching to 12 volts? Then installing the in-lite 12 volt system is easy and safe to do yourself.

In addition, you can quickly connect all lighting to the transformers, so that you can quickly connect the lighting to a timer. So that the light switches on and off at your desired time. That way you don't even have to use a switch anymore!

Do you stick with 230 volts? Then you can choose from three types of wall lamps: HALO (UP-)DOWN 100-230V, ACE (UP-)DOWN 100-230V and DISC WALL 100-230V that you can easily connect to 230 volt mains voltage. The other outdoor wall lights in the range can be used on low voltage.

(Up-)down outside wall lights

Good to know is that the in-lite outdoor wall lights are equipped with different light applications. There are luminaires such as ACE DOWN with a light beam straight down, but an up-down wall lamp such as ACE UP-DOWN shines both upwards and downwards.

In this way, the light creates a beautiful hourglass effect. Personalize the ACE luminaires with the specially developed in-lite accessories for the wall lights to play with the light. This way you create any desired light image.

Ground spotlights as facade lighting

You are probably wondering why ground spots are a logical choice for lighting your facade. Recessed lights are one of the most versatile garden lights. They are easy to install and have a long range when it comes to broad beamed light. Some ground spots - which are suitable for facade lighting - have a range of up to three meters high! Do remember that ground spots, with which you want to illuminate the facade, do not cross your walkway. The light is much too strong for that. Place an outdoor ground spot from a corner.

An advantage of ground spots over wall lights is the processing of the cable. You may not like it if the cables are visible – or through a pipe – running over the wall, but with ground spots you will not be bothered by this because you process the cable under the ground.

Illuminate facade with plants

Is the facade surrounded by boarders or plants? Then RISER is the perfect solution. Due to the planting in front of your facade, a ground spot does not get the chance to shine its beautiful light. The MINI SCOPE is very easy to stick into a soft surface and easily rises above the greenery. This spot is also fully tiltable and rotatable.
