Which side is the top of the motion detector?
The top of our products can be recognized by the in-lite logo. This logo should be easy to see.
Is it necessary to update the SMART MOVE software?
Yes, because up-to-date SMART MOVE software ensures that your SMART MOVE will function properly. If new software is available, it will be offered through the in-lite app. An update button will then be displayed in the routine screen. To download the new software, make sure you have a good 3/4/5G internet connection and make a Bluetooth connection with the SMART-HUB 150. Open the app and, after a few minutes, check whether an update is displayed in the routine screen.
How can I tell whether the SMART MOVE is charged?
If the SMART MOVE is sufficiently charged, the indicator light will blink slowly. If the indicator light is not blinking, the SMART MOVE is not yet fully charged. Place the SMART MOVE in daylight until the indicator light starts blinking.
Can I connect the SMART MOVE motion detector to other devices?
No, this is not possible. The SMART MOVE motion detector was developed specially for use with the SMART HUB-150.
How many cables come with the SMART MOVE motion detector?
Thanks to a wireless connection and the mesh network functionalities, the SMART MOVE motion detector can be operated over exceptionally long distances. It can be used in even the largest of yards, but its functioning depends on the distance to the SMART HUB-150, smartphone and environmental factors. The connection strength is reduced, for example, if the signal must travel through thick, steel-reinforced walls.
Does the motion detector work on the CB transformers?
No, the MOVE is specially developed for the HUB-50/100, while the SMART MOVE is specially developed for the SMART HUB-150.
What do I do if the motion detector is not working?
Check whether the motion detector is still connected properly, that the transformer is set properly and/or whether the motion detector (front) is clean. Otherwise, check the manual. If this concerns a SMART MOVE, it is also possible that the solar panel has not charged the internal battery. To charge it, set it in direct daylight for around three hours. Still not working? Contact your landscaper or dealer who sold you the product.
Can the sensitivity of the motion detector be adjusted?
No, but tilting the MOVE or SMART MOVE motion detector downwards can limit the detection area.
Can the angle of the motion detector be adjusted?
Yes, but only in a vertical direction by tilting the MOVE or SMART MOVE motion detector downwards. This is done to limit the detection area.
Is the motion detector waterproof?
Yes, the MOVE and SMART MOVE have rain protection and an IP value of 65.
Do I need to clean the motion detector sensor?
Yes, clean the MOVE/ SMART MOVE motion detector sensor using a wet cloth at least once a year.
Does the motion detector also respond to nocturnal animals/pets?
The MOVE and SMART MOVE motion detectors are triggered by radiant heat. Small animals do not emit enough heat, so the motion detector will not respond to them.
What is the detection angle of the motion detector?
The detection angle or area is 40 degrees vertically and 105 degrees horizontally. See the MOVE and SMART MOVE product pages for more information.
Does the motion detector also function during the day?
The HUB 50/100 transformers are fitted with a light sensor that switches the lighting on automatically after dark. The SMART HUB-150 is not fitted with a light sensor, but has a built-in astronomical clock that activates the lighting once the sun goes down. The MOVE motion detector for the HUB-50/100 uses a light sensor and therefore is not activated during the day. The SMART MOVE motion detector for the SMART HUB-150 is fitted with its own light sensor. In other words, all in-lite motion detectors only function in the dark. Can I install the motion detector close to other devices?
This is possible in principle, with the exception of devices that emit considerable heat, such as the outlet of a high-efficiency boiler. The MOVE and SMART MOVE motion detectors are triggered by radiant heat.
How do I install the motion detector?
The MOVE for the HUB-50/100 and the SMART MOVE for the SMART HUB-150 transformers are usually mounted at a height of two meters onto a wall or fence. For more information, see the manual.
Can I connect several motion detectors to each other?
No, this is not possible with the MOVE for the HUB-50/100 transformers. One transformer can be used with one motion detector and vice versa. It is, however, possible to connect several wireless SMART MOVES to a SMART HUB-150 transformer. A different time can be set in each of these. Once connected, they operate jointly in a mesh network. Several SMART HUB-150 transformers can also be connected to a single motion detector.

When is the motion detector active?
The SMART MOVE only functions in the dark. The number of minutes that the lighting stays on after movement is detected can be set by the minutes, cable and routine. The MOVE is active if set to light/dark and/or motion detector. It is possible to set the time period after which the lighting switches off after movement is detected to 1, 3 or 9 minutes. How do I set the time on the motion detector?
You set the time in the MOVE using the touchscreen on the HUB-50/100. You can choose from 1, 3 or 9 minutes. The lighting will stay on for the number of preset minutes when motion is detected in the dark. The SMART MOVE is set using the in-lite app. The number of minutes that the lighting stays on after movement is detected can be set by the minute, cable and routine.
